La Shensa (phonetic spelling of the dialect name);
the English name is Tansy. In Lu Lette, the leaves of this herb were
steeped to produce a liquid which was drunk to cure stomach aches and
upset stomachs, just one of many herbal remedies. This plant is growing in
Barre, VT, USA, but it is descended from seed brought from Lu Lette over
70 years ago. |
