La Teleferica, a beautiful new restaurant in Lu Lette, located just above the Santuario Iconicella.

Top left are the proprietors, Santino Mancini, his wife Anna Ferrante, and their son Antonio.

Bottom left: Dino Addario and wife Lorella Di Labio, about to enjoy a beautiful antipasto platter of prosciutto, salume e melone.

September 2001
Above:  The little church of Sancti Petri ad Troiam in the Pietrara neighborhood, getting a new roof in September 2001.  The original church was built about 1300, but was destroyed and rebuilt.  It's near the 'bivio' - the intersection of the road through Lu Lette with the road to Manoppello.

Left:  A festa for saints Peter and Paul is held in this neighborhood every June 29th.
Claudio Di Biase, stone carver and son of stone carver Antonio Di Biase (La Bobba), in front of his home on via Maiella.  For photos of him at his worksite, see Lu Lette Pg. 19.
"Il Torrone," a bar-pizzeria-trattoria on via Torrone.  We stopped here one evening for pizza and found it very busy with hungry customers who were being entertained by an accordian player...a nice evening!
Giuseppina D'Angelo with her granddaughter.  Giuseppina is one of 3 seamstresses in Lu Lette, and she makes housecalls - here she is at the home of Nicoletta Ferrante, to alter a dress.
A view in Lu Lette, September 2001; a little street off Piazza Umberto I.
